Currently based out of Dallas, Texas; there is a new sound ‘crashing’ musical waves on the horizon.
--Crash House--
The band was originally founded in 2011.
Blake Ballinger, a local legend, singer-songwriter, and vocalist, decided to pursue his career in music after graduating from the prestigious University of North Texas College of Music in 2017. Blake is not only the voice of Crash House, he is also a multi-instrumentalist combining a mixture of Texas roots with sunny California vibes to create the unique sound that defines Crash House. Blake and the band released their first EP in 2019 followed by a single in 2020 titled “Lonely Girl” and “Chutin’ the Bull” respectively.
"I wasn't really going for a specific sound, just kind of just let the music play." -Blake
As is true of great writers, the theme of good times and hope’s love ring out loud and clear through Blake's emotional lyrics. Crash House is currently preparing to release a new single, and are currently independent. Their influences include: Tom Petty, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Lionel Richie, Elvis, Bob Marley, The Temptations, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hank Williams Jr., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tupac, and even Beethoven.
“I fell in love with music when I was five. My mom still tells the story of how
I would sit at the computer for hours and listen while I “Swooned”.” - Blake
I fell in love with music when I was five. My mom still tells the story of how I would sit at the computer for hours and listen to classical music while I “Swooned”.
I followed my dream to The University of North Texas and graduated from college with a degree in music. I write my own lyrics and produce all my songs in my home studio.
I find inspiration all around me. I try to make my music representative of myself and my generation. I love the places that most people don't give a second glance.
